Short But Bittersweet.
God has really been challenging me lately. With pretty much everything in my life. He's been telling me to let go of some things and hold on tight to others. He's been telling me to take chances but also to sit back and wait. It's really hard sometimes. Most of the time I don't want to listen. I just wanna do what I wanna do. But in the end, like always, He knows what's best for me. I've just been struggling with really giving my all to Him...just surrendering and fully letting myself be in His control. It's really tough when He tells me I need to let go of something. Especially when that something is actually a someone. Whether its a boy, a friend, someone that hurt me, or someone that's passed. I've always had trouble letting go. I keep telling myself "what if..?" and that keeps me going. But it's like a drug. I tell myself this, and it's almost like a mantra. And then I feel fine. But that feeling only lasts so long and before I know it, I find myself repeating my "mantra" over and over again. What if he changes? What if he comes back? What if she didn't mean that? What if, what if, what if? It's really hard to not ask myself those questions. I sometimes ask other people too. And I almost always got the same answer. "Just have faith in God." I was honestly starting to get sick of hearing that. Couldn't someone give me a better answer? Something more clear as to what to do? But recently I realized that that was the answer I needed to hear. And maybe hearing it over and over again, was God's way of saying "get it in your stinkin head!" I really do need to just trust in God. If I'm supposed to be with that guy, then it'll happen. If my dad is supposed to sober up, it'll happen. If I'm supposed to stay friends with that girl, then guess what? It'll happen! I am definitely still struggling though. I still find myself asking the "what if" questions. And I honestly don't know if I'll ever stop. But what I do know is that I need to just have faith in God.
"Sometimes God says no because He's preparing you for a bigger Yes."
Don't know if any of that made sense.

Jesus I run to you
This world keeps spinning faster
Into a new disaster so I run to you
I run to you baby
When it all starts coming undone
Baby you're the only one I run to
I run to you
As I was listening to it earlier, I started to think about the words. They're singing about how when things get rough, they run to the one they love for comfort. Now what if we sung this song, but instead of saying "baby", we said "Jesus"? I run to you Jesus, when it all starts coming undone. Jesus you're the only one I run to. Would the meaning of the song change? Or would it merely be intensified? Aren't we supposed to run to Jesus when our lives get tough? Trust in Him and know that He will guide us through? BUT we're also supposed to run to Him when our lives are good. He's not just there to rescue us. He's there to rejoice and dance with us as well! Next time you're listening to a love song, and that special someone comes to mind, try thinking of God instead. Try singing that love song to Him. Or imagine Him singing it to you. Try it. It's pretty amazing.

Honk if you love Jesus.
Pet Peeve alert!! People who text and talk on their phone and do their makeup and read the paper and tie their shoes and..and..where was I going with this? Oh yeah, people who do that stuff while DRIVING! Here's a solution people. Listen up. PULL OVER to text or talk on your phone. Get a bluetooth. Wait till you get where you're going. Tie your freakin shoes before you leave. Do your make-up before you leave. Read the paper while drinking your coffee or wait till you get to work. I really don't care if you're intent on risking your life by doing these things, but please PLEASE don't risk other people's lives. You may not think it's a big deal, but it is. You glance away to look at your phone or the mirror or the top story, and in that 2.7 seconds you're looking away, a child could run onto the road. Your car can go over the center line a tiny bit and hit an oncoming car. Another vehicle could be out of control and hit you. You never know what could happen, so why take the risk? Is that text REALLY that important? Can't your eyeliner wait another 10 minutes? Think about it. Think about it long and hard. The horoscopes in the daily paper aren't more important than someone's life, including your own.
Oh yeah...drinking and driving. Do I even need to explain this one? Don't do it...it's stupid.

Hello there.
College! I am officially a college graduate! I now have two grad caps, each with a tassel showcasing a different year. So weird! College was an amazing experience for me. It was great being part of a class with such diversity. I was the youngest student in my course, and the oldest was 63! But you know what? I rarely noticed the age difference. I was worried about being the youngest, but I felt so accepted right away. It was great! I made some friendships that will last a really long time and I'm so excited about that! There was definitely some rough times throughout the year where I just wanted to quit and thought to myself "why the heck did I do this?!" But then I would pass a homeless man on the street. Or get a hug from a little boy in my practicum. And then I'd remember why. I'm not just going to school to get a title of some sort. I'm going to school to make a difference.
Katimavik! Wow, lots going on with that. In my last post, it said I was maybe in. Now I am FO SHO in! It's pretty exciting. But it's also been a crazy road with everything! I was supposed to find out last week where I'm going, but instead I received an email saying they didn't have the information ready yet. Then a few days later I got another email saying they had a funding cut, and there would be some changes. Those changes included cutting the program to 6 months instead of 9 months, which means 2 placements instead of 3, and I will no longer be receiving $1000 at the end. I will still, however, receive an "allowance" of about $20/week. I should be finding out tomorrow where I'm going...so I will *hopefully* blog again tomorrow with that information! Its gonna be tough being away for 6 months, especially not being home for Christmas, but it's also gonna be an amazing experience and I'm really excited!
Relay for Life! Once again, I entered a team into Relay for Life. Correction, I entered 3 teams into Relay for Life! About 30 people were involved with the Guardian Angel teams and it was great! We did tight&bright/superheros as our theme and we just had a blast. Around 1am, we got the music guy to announce us, and we did our Jump dance from Variety Night in front of the stage. After we finished, the crowd clapped and as we were walking away, the announcer called us back. Apparently about 30 seconds before we started, they had just decided to award the Team Spirit Award to our team, and then when they got to the stage to announce it, we were dancing! How cool is that?! Not everyone could stay all night, which was fine, and almost everyone made it the whole night without sleeping. I admit I fell asleep for about two hours, which is two more hours than last year! I'm not sure how much our team raised, but the whole Comox Valley raised over $100,000! So great!!
Other than that, there hasn't been anything BIG going on that's really blog-worthy. Oh, and I'm blonde again :) I didn't realize how much I missed it!
I'm really really really stoked for summer. I'll end my post with a list of things I'm looking forward to this summer!

Brightest Stars
I remember it clearly, it was a beautiful day
Sun shining, faces smiling, people laughing
My wrist band was too loose, you offered to hold it
You made me laugh, and I haven’t stopped since
They say good friends are like stars
You don’t always see them
But you know they’re there
And I just wanna say thanks
For being one of my brightest stars
Before that day, we rarely spoke
Mere acquaintances in the world of camp
You like to play tricks on me
Including one involving your truck
But every time, without fail, you apologize
They say good friends are like stars
You don’t always see them
But you know they’re there
And I just wanna say thanks
For being one of my brightest stars
Through the good times and the bad
The fun and the canteen line-ups
We got to know each other
Between the cookies and laughs
The tears and random conversations
We became friends
And they say good friends are like stars
You don’t always see them
But you know they’re there
And I just wanna say thanks
For being one of my brightest stars, brightest stars
I just wanna say thanks
For being one of my brightest stars

Times are a'changin
A few months ago, I was set on moving to Victoria this summer with two of my best friends. I was planning on getting a job and living there and having a great time.
Now I might be spending 9 months abroad in Canada if I get accpeted into Katimavik (http://www.katimavik.org/). If I don't get in, I'll be getting a job, but still living at home. I may move out in town somewhere. I may not.
Friends have changed. Some changes good, some not so good. Some changes I hope don't last forever. Some changes I hope last a lifetime.
My medical record has changed. I've had a swollen gland for over three months. I may have to get surgery.
I've changed. I've come to realize some things. Like no matter how good a friend is, they're gonna hurt you sometimes. And when God says something will happen, it will, even if it takes awhile. I've grown into a better leader. I've noticed who my friends are and how amazing they are. I've changed because I've learned to accept things as they come. I may not like it, but sometimes there's not a lot I can do. So I'm just gonna keep smiling and going forward. If I fall, I know who's gonna be there to catch me. And that gives me hope.

Why Wait?
But what I wanna say is I don't get why when something big happens like this (Haiti), that it becomes the ONLY charity. Everyone's telling everyone to donate to Haiti (again, I'm not saying don't donate or anything like that, its a great cause) but what about the other charities and causes? Cancer, MS, AIDS, Poverty in our own communities and SO many more. They're all put on the backburner. Haiti becomes "more important". Just because one thing happens, doesn't make all other problems disappear and I think some people don't realize that. Don't just think "Oh someone else will donate to cancer research, so I don't have to." If everyone thinks that, then nothing will be done. Cancer won't be cured, and neither will other diseases or causes.
Why do we have to wait for something like an earthquake to step into action? Why wait for the explosion before we lend a hand? Are we going to wait for the death rate of AIDS infected people to sky rocket before we decide to help? Are we going to wait till 80% of our population is living in poverty before we offer our resources?
Why wait, when you can help now.

Pit Stop.
So far, 2010 has been a pretty good year. School started again and it's been alright up to this point. Haven't done a lot of assignments yet, but I have quite a few on the way. I really like my classes. This semester our program was split, so instead of having 25 people in my class, I now have 15. We got some new people as well so it's been really cool getting to know them. In a couple of my classes, we sit in a circle instead of at desks and I find that so much better because I can see everyone and it just makes the whole atmosphere comfortable. We have some really great discussions and I love learning all the stuff I'm learning. I have an interviewing skills class, which I didn't think I would like at first, but I LOVE it! My other classes are Ethics in Social Work, Psychology, Social Welfare in Canada, Foundation of Social Work, and my practicum.
My practicum! I'm doing my second practicum at Wachiay Friendship Centre in the Homeless Outreach Program with Miranda Blomquist. I've gone 3 times now and I'm loving it! And I love it for multiple reasons. One, its different everyday so I'm never really doing the same thing all the time. Two, it's getting me closer to what I really wanna do, which is work in a woman's shelter. Three, it's just so much fun and Miranda is great to work with, as well as the other people who work at Wachiay.
I get to work with homeless people, as well as people who are just struggling to keep their homes. I've met some really inspiring people so far. One guy, Gabriel, is awesome! He's in his twenty's and he's just gotten a place to live. I got to meet him on my first and second days. He's got a great sense of humour and is really sweet. It's amazing because if I had just seen him on the street, I probably wouldn't have given him a second look. But now that I know him, I see what a great person he is even with his disabilities.
Well, I gotta head to class soon. So I will end my post for now, and hopefully I'll be back on before another month has gone by!
I hope everyone is having a great week so far and that all is well!!
I will leave you with a random quote.
It is believed that Shakespeare was 46 around the time that the King James Version of the Bible was written. In Psalms 46, the 46th word from the first word is shake and the 46th word from the last word is spear.
Cool eh?

TwentyTen.
New Years Eve was pretty fun. Hung out with a couple friends, Ashley and Save, and we went to Nanaimo to go shopping for a bit and then later in the evening we got dressed up and went party hopping to see some people. Once we got back to Ashley's (around 2) we had Iced Tea and toast, then went to bed. A lot of people don't believe us that we didn't drink any alcohol. Silly people.
This morning I was awake at 9am getting ready for the annual New Years Day Polar Bear Swim! We were part of the Lucky team, so as "Lucky Girls", we got to wear Lucky jerseys to the swim. We didn't wear them in the water though. As we were waiting, we were wearing sweatpants, sweaters, and housecoats over our bathing suits. Then when there was 5 minutes left, we all went down onto the beach. This year the swim was at Saratoga Beach. I think it was worse waiting to go in than actually going in! As soon as the guy yelled go, at least a hundred people ran screaming into the water. And let's just say it was good surfing weather! Windy with lots of waves, and a bit of rain.
We ran in till we were about waist deep and then dove in. And HOLY POOP ON A STICK it was cold! But it was so worth it! It was a lot of fun. Ashley and Save had to go in twice cause they skipped out on it last year. After we dried off a bit, we put our Lucky jerseys and sweatpants back on. Then we headed to Ashley's parent's friend's (thats a mouthful) place for chili, hot dogs, and beer. I took one tiny sip of the beer cause I was a "Lucky Girl" and then a big mouthful of chili. I hate beer. It's disgusting. We hung out there for a bit and it was really cool cause I had just met most of these people but it didn't feel like it. I felt really welcome there.
After a but we went back to Ashley's. First thing we did was crawl into Ashley's bed and have a 3 hour nap. It was MARVELOUS! I love naps! Unfortunately we had to get up cause I had to go home. Except for a quick stop to pick something up last night, I hadn't been home since Wednesday morning. So I got home, had dinner, and now am doing this. I'm thinking it's just about time for bed!
I'll finish off this post with some New Years Resolutions/Goals:
- Get a job
- Save money
- Get in better shape by June
- Finish my first year of college
- Stay involved with Thrive.
- Do more with my friends and family
- Move out successfully in August
- Find a good job in Victoria
- Stay alive

Kels & Jay,
You two have done more in my life than you will ever know.
Jay, I've known you for 10 years and you have always been there for me. Whenever I needed someone to talk to or just hang out with, you were always there. I know that I can come to you with anything and you won't judge me. From my parents divorce to losing friends to making mistakes, you've been there to help me through it all. You've been my Leader and Youth Pastor, but you've also been more than that. You've been my brother and my friend and I love you so much for that!
Kels, I've known you for almost 7 years and WOW has it been good! From camp to Mexico to Youth nights to just hanging out, its all been great! I've always been able to come to you for advice, whether it be about God, boys, fashion, or life. You've never judged me and I thank you for that. You have truly been a huge inspiration to me to not let anything get you down and to just keep going.
Both of you have been life changers for me. I'm just so awed by both of your hearts for people and God. You have encouraged me to be more and do more. You've always supported me in everything I do, such as Guardian Angel.
I'm so proud of you for listening to God and giving Him your YES. That takes a lot of courage and faith, which both of you have! It's going to be different without you here, for you and for us. But thats ok. God knows what He's doing.
I just pray guidance and courage over both of you. I pray that you will continue to trust in God and know that He will never leave you nor forsake you. I know both of you are ready for this and with God's help, you guys are gonna do amazing things on the mainland.
And maybe you'll be called back here to Courtenay or somewhere else on the island. Maybe not. Only God knows that and He will let you know.
So just have faith and courage and be excited! I know you are and that's great! I'm excited for you! God has been using you here and even though you'll be gone, your presence will still be here. You're still family and you're still a part of Thrive Youth Church, and you always will be.
This isn't Goodbye..this is just "See ya later"
No matter what happens in life, you two will always be in my mind, prayers, and heart.
I love you both so much and I will miss you!
God Bless and good luck!
Forever and Always,
Sam :) <3
Philippians 4:4-7
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Psalm 32:8-10
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you and watch over you."
Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle
or they will not come to you.
Many are the woes of the wicked,
but the LORD's unfailing love
surrounds the man who trusts in him."

Rejoining the Blogging world!
I guess I'll start with Grad.
It was AMAZING! My date and minuet partner was my good friend Percy.
It was a beautiful day! The ceremony was at the Filberg and everything went perfect. It was a sad but happy day.
After Grad was also amazing..so much fun! Full of dancing, laughing, picture taking, and just hanging out with friends.
"The girls are great, the boys are fine, we're the class of 2009"
Relay For Life! WOW!! I entered a team for Guardian Angel with a group of my friends and some family members. We walked from 7pm to 7am and had a ton of fun. It was cold but we found ways to keep warm...lots of blankets! In totaly, we raised about $2000 with Guardian Angel and won Best Youth Team, which was AWESOME!!
SUMMER! Ok...I'll try and keep this short.
Camp was awesome! It's a Christian Sports camp..two of my favourite things!
Pre-Teen: I was Head Coach this year of my team, The Blues! We called ourselves the Blue Bombers. My assistant coaches, Luke and Chelsea, and our whole team (about 15 kids) were so much fun to play with. We came in third place, which is great! We got lots of extra points for team spirit and sportsmanship.
Teen: Ooh Ah Da Bears! I love my team. I've been part of Da Bears for five years and they're like my family. We're the most loved team at camp because of our personality and how much fun we have. Unfortunately we came in last place this year, but that didn't stop us from cheering. AND I won the Sportsmanship Award for my team for the second year in a row! My birthday was the last day of camp and my team gave me a card and the whole camp sung me Happy Birthday. Nothing like having 400+ people singing Happy Birthday horribly out of tune. I could really feel the love!
My 18th birthday party was a lot of fun. Went to the river and then had a bunch of people over for a BBQ.
My parents, my sisters, the dogs, and I all jumped in our Motor Home and drove to Shuswap Lake and back for a family get-together. My sister-in-law, Jen, has some family who own a cabin by the lake so we stayed there for a few days. It was a lot of fun!
The rest of my summer was just full of hanging out with friends and making the most of the time I had left with some people.
School started in September. Woot for being a college student! I'm taking the Human Service Worker Certificate (1 year) in the Social Services Stream. I love my class. The people in it are amazing. I'm the youngest in my class and the next youngest is 25. The oldest is 63. I love it!
There has definitely been times where the work load has been tough. And there have been classes and discussions that were hard to get through. My class is all very emotional..we even have our own tissue box for our classroom!
I just finished my first semester yesterday when I wrote my English final. It's nice to have a couple weeks off now!
I'm stoked for Christmas! My brother and sister-in-law come home tomorrow for the holidays and I'm really excited to see them. We're gonna have a full house this Christmas! Pretty sure I have to give up my bed tho...hmmm...
My mom had surgery last week...got all her baby making parts taken out and had to get her pelvis realigned cause it was hitting her backbone. She's been home for a few days now and is doing really well. She's off work for about 6 weeks.
Well I think thats about it for now. My hands are getting tired! But at least I FINALLY managed to get an update! And hopefully I'll be more consistant with my blogging from now on!
Later Gators! And if I don't get on before friday, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON AND MIK!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME! HOPE YOUR DAY WAS AMAZING! <3 <3

I feel like a broken record...
So this morning was my Psychology midterm and it went alright, I think. I hope. I was really nervous going into it because even though I studied, nothing seemed to be sticking. But as I started the test, I remembered some things so I was alright. I think all in all, it went okay. I guess I'll have to wait and see the final result!
Now I'm heading to English to write an in-class essay analysis. I don't like analysing essays. Not fun. But it all depends on what the essay is about. I will hopefully be on later to blog again and will let you know how I did!
And until then...farewell my brothers and sisters and may your day bring you happiness and peace and all that good stuff! :)

It's been too long
One is..it's been too long since I last blogged! And I plan on doing something about that. Seeing as I have to work in an hour, I can't do a lot yet. So I will get back on and give you some big updates as soon as possible. I promise!
The second meaning to this title, is it's been too long since I last saw Olivia. Today is the two year mark. I wrote a little letter to her, and I want to post it here.
Olivia Erica Johnson, Livvy-Jivvy, Flash Star, O.J.,
Wow...how did two years go by so fast, yet so slow?
I think about you everyday Olivia. I dream about you every night.
I just wish there was some way to see you again. To hug you one more time. To hear your laugh, even for just a moment.
I still see your smile everywhere I go.
I'm excited but nervous about this year and Guardian Angel. Please watch over us as we walk. Guide us through this year and on our journey to find a cure.
There's so much that has happened since you left. I wish we could get together and talk.
I miss talking to you.
I miss your smile.
I miss your laugh.
I miss your voice.
I miss your strength.
I miss you.
I wish I could bring you back. But I would never want you to be in pain again. You're so much better where you are. God is taking care of you.
I woke up last night at 4:37am. That's the same time I woke up exactly two years ago. I woke up both times unable to breath and felt sick. Then I felt as if someone laid their hand on my shoulder and I swear I heard your whisper.
In the words of Miley Cyrus (whom I know you love so much ;P)
I miss you
I miss your smile
And I still shed a tear
Every once in awhile
And even though it's different now
You're still here somehow
My heart won't let you go
And I need you to know
I miss you.
And in the words of Sam Middleton,
Your smile is in my eyes
Your laughter in my ears
Where you used to be
There is a hole
And I may not see you
But I know you're here
Your absence has gone through me
Like thread through a needle
I dropped a tear in the ocean
When I find it again,
I'll stop missing you
If only I could go back
Back to that day
I'd say so much more
I'd give you one last hug
If only I had known
I try to let go
But it's impossible
I can't forget

For Jason
Write about an event that changed your life. As I was sitting in English 10, reading that question, my parents’ divorce popped into my head. I turned to my friend Alyssa and told her. We talked a bit about it and then I started writing. But before I could even finish one sentence, I heard some of the other girls talking.
“I’m so happy my parents are still together.”
“Yeah mine are too. We’re lucky. I wouldn’t be able to live without both my parents.”
“Mhm. And if my dad was an alcoholic? I would be so embarrassed.”
I could feel my eyes begin to burn as the tears started coming.
“Sam, are you okay?” said Alyssa. She was looking at me as she put her hand on my shoulder.
“Yeah…I’m fine. I’ll be alright.” I lied, voice cracking. I couldn’t take it anymore and I left the class. I didn’t want anyone to see me cry. I went down the stairs and outside. Thankfully it was a nice day. I sat down for a bit, trying to compose myself. Those girls’ words kept playing over and over again in my head. I wanted to talk to someone, but didn’t know who. Then Jason came to mind. I went back inside and called him. He answered right away.
“Hello?”
“Hey,” I said. “It’s Sam.”
“Oh hey! How’s it going?”
“Not too good actually. Stuff about my dad.”
“Awe I’m sorry Hun. Are you at school?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay, I’ll be there in ten minutes.”
I hung up and then went outside to wait. Just like he said, ten minutes later he was pulling up to the front of the school.
A little about Jason. He’s my Youth Pastor at church. He’s about six feet tall, dark hair, brown eyes and quite fit. I always bug him about his “protective layering” over his abs. He has a great sense of humor and a huge heart. I’ve known him since I was eight years old, when my parents got a divorce. He’s been like an older brother to me. His family was like my family. His dad called me “the daughter he never got” because they have three boys. Never once has Jay judged me. I’ve had many people come and go in my life, but he’s been one of the constants. I can always count on him to be there for me, whether I need some encouraging words or a hug or whatever. He’s the kind of guy who can make me laugh when I don’t even want to smile. It’s quite annoying sometimes! But honestly, I don’t know what I’d do without him. He was there when Olivia died, arms open. He was the first person I told when Eric died. He was there when I found out Zachary had died. He’s always so willing to do anything for me and it’s such a great comfort knowing that.
“Hey thanks for coming,” I said, as I got into the car.
“No problem,” he said, starting the car. “Where should we go?”
“Doesn’t matter to me.”
We ended up going to a little café in Comox and then went to the marina. We talked about different things like school and youth group. We didn’t talk about my dad until we were sitting down.
“So, tell me what happened.”
I was crying before I could finish. I didn’t just tell him about English class, I told him about everything that had been going on lately. Things like drama with family and friends, struggling in some of my classes, fighting with myself and missing my dad but hating him at the same time. I was holding it all in and it was building up inside to the point where I felt like I was going to explode. When I was done, before he said anything, Jason stood up, pulled me to my feet and gave me a huge hug. Which, of course, made me cry more, but it helped. After a few minutes, we sat back down.
“There isn’t a lot I can say,” he said. “Except you need to trust in God and know that He has a plan and there are good reasons why all these things have happened to you. You’re still young and you’re going to face more trials throughout your life, but you will get through it all. And I will be right beside you, lending you my hand. I’m not going anywhere. I’ve watched you grow for years and I am so proud of you. You have such strength and faith and I love being part of your life.” He put his arm around me and smiled. And at that moment, as we sat there, I felt this sense of comfort. I believed Jay and knew that everything was going to be okay.
Since that day, things have happened to me that have rocked my life, in good ways and bad ways. I’ve lost a friend to cancer. I’ve lost a friend to a drug overdose. I’ve lost a friend to a car accident. We had to put my dog down. I’ve continued to miss my dad. I’ve fought with my friends. I’ve fought with my family. I’ve struggled with my faith and my self-confidence. But I’ve also made new friends. I’ve had so many great times with my family. I’ve gotten new family members. I created an organization to raise money for cancer research and have already raised over $1300. I went to Mexico over spring break on a Missions Trip, got my passport stolen, got a sunburn, played with some kids, painted some stuff, and had a great time. I got through my high school years and am graduating in less than two weeks. And through it all, Jay has been there just like he said he would be. He has been my crutch through the hard times and danced with me in the good times. Before he was my youth pastor, he was a friend, a brother. And even now, he’s not just my mentor. He’s not just my youth pastor. He’s still my friend and he’s still my brother. I am so lucky to have someone like him in my life. He’s been there for me when I wanted to completely give up. Sometimes I just think of him as another person in my life. But he’s more than that. He saved my life. He’s my angel without wings.
"You were the one who made things different; you were the one who took me in. You were the one thing I could count on; above all, you were my friend."

Half way to college!
So...ummm....
GRAD IS IN 17 DAYS!!!
Pretty excited for that..its coming so fast. I have my dress, my shoes and most of my accessories. It's going to be a fantastic day. I am praying so much that it's good weather, otherwise the whole thing will be in the Highland Gym and I'll only get four tickets. So pray for good weather!! If it's outside, there's no limit to who can come.
The Spring Concert is next week. It's also my final concert at Highland. It's gonna be amazing but sad at the same time. I may cry. But I'll try not to. All of the senior class is gonna chip in and the afternoon before the concert, I'm going to go and buy a couple bouquets of flowers for the teachers. Its going to be a great night. If you have the evening off, you should come! You won't be dissapointed. It's next Thursday at 7pm. But come a bit before to get a good seat.
Well that's all for now.
Later Gators!

I Miss You So Much It Hurts
It's also stirred up feelings in me. Not a day goes by when I don't think about Olivia, Eric, Zachary and Floyd. I miss them so much...I can't stop crying.
As most of you know, we got a puppy, Lexi. She's like a mini Floyd and every time I look at her I think of him. Every time I look at Sabre, I think of him. It's been almost a year.
Eric was going to be my grad date if I didn't get one. I wish so much that he was here and was still going to take me to grad. I miss his laughter...his voice.
This is my grad year, but it's Olivia and Zachary's grad year too. Olivia had so many plans for after grad, and it breaks my heart to think she won't be able to fulfill them. Grad at Highland won't be the same without Zachary there.
Everyday I wake up and wish that they were here with me. I would give anything just to see them all one more time. Just to hug them one more time. Just to tell them "I love you" one more time.
I love them all so much...the tears don't seem to wanna stop.
I know they're in a better place and I wouldn't take them out of paradise.
RIP <3

I Miss You Eric

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At Your Side -- The Corrs
When the daylight's gone and you're on your own
And you need a friend just to be around
I will comfort you,
I will take your hand
And I'll pull you through,
I will understand
And you know that
I'll be at your side, there's no need to worry
Together we'll survive through the haste and hurry
I'll be at your side
If you feel like you're alone, and you've nowhere to turn
I'll be at your side
If life's standing still and your soul's confused
And you cannot find what road to choose
If you make mistakes (make mistakes)
You can't let me down (let me down)
I will still believe (still believe)
I will turn around
And you know that
I'll be at your side, there's no need to worry
Together we'll survive through the haste and hurry
I'll be at your side
If you feel like you're alone, and you've nowhere to turn
I'll be at your side
I'll be at your side
I'll be at your side
You know that
I'll be at your side, there's no need to worry
Together we'll survive through the haste and hurry
I'll be at your side
If you feel like you're alone, you've got somewhere to go,
'Cos I'm right there
I'll be at your side,
I'll be right there for you
I'll be right there for you, yeah
I'm right at your side
